Travel to Big Bear is easy,  

30 minutes by air

or two and a half hours from Los Angeles 

by car or stagecoach 



 

We have services throughout the year 

and on all major holidays, 

including High Holidays and Passover 

led by rabbis and cantors





Services are held

in a historic log building

nestled in a grove of Ponderosa Pines.

Regular Event Dates


On the first Saturday of the month at 10 am, we meet at Miller Park for Shabbat services and Torah study.  Bring a dish or a dessert for lunch!

On the second Friday of the month at 6:30 pm, we meet at Miller Park for our Friday night Shabbat Kiddish and pot luck dinner.  Bring a dish or a dessert and enjoy the company!  Get to know Big Bear if you are new to the area!

On the third Saturday night of the month at 7 pm we meet for havdallah. Bring a light dish or a dessert and enjoy the company!

On the fourth Friday of the month at 6:30 pm, we meet at Miller Park for our  Friday night Shabbat Kiddish and pot luck dinner.  Bring a dish or a dessert and enjoy the company! Get to know Big Bear if you are new to the area!

Join us for holidays throughout the year

Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur

High Holiday services are Rabbi and Cantor led. We have a traditional, kosher dinner on erev Rosh Hashana.  Register earlty to assure attendance. 

Succot, Chanukah, Tu Bishvat, Purim and Shavuot

We have activities on each of these holidays.  Attendance is large on Chanukah and Purim.  

Passover

We have a traditional, kosher Seder.   Register early to assure seating. 

Education

Join us for Torah study at Miller Park, following Shabbat morning service each month.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Jewish practices and liturgy.  Get your questions answered!

We also offer classes on Jewish culture and practices, conversion, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and Hebrew.  Schedules are flexible and ongoing.
